My New Year’s Resolutions

Happy New Year everybody! Every year I commit to certain goals hoping to achieve them throughout the year, and every year I fail. However, studies seem to show that when people write their resolutions down and display them in public they’re more likely to stick with them. So since I’m creating some resolutions to better my life in 2015, I thought that I would share them with you. So check out my five New Year’s Resolutions under the cut!

#1: Drink More Water

Confession time: I’m seriously addicted to drinking Pepsi. Like full on addicted; in high school I used to drink about six cans a day! Now I’ve seriously toned down my addiction, but I still don’t drink as much water as I should. So in the New Year I’m committing to drink more water in an attempt to be more healthy.

#2: Exercise

In the most cliche of all the New Year’s Resolutions, I want to commit to doing some sort of physical activity on a daily basis. My college has an amazing gym which is free for students, so since I’m about to graduate I plan on utilizing the gym to the fullest extent. I really like running, so I want to run at the indoor track at least twice a week, and perhaps attend zumba classes maybe once a week as well. I’m hoping to be more healthy and in-shape this year and really focus on being the best me possible.

#3: Maintain a Skincare Routine

Something I always hear bloggers and Youtube beauty gurus talking about is their skincare routines, and from what I’ve read it’s important to begin maintaining your skin in your twenties. I actually have all the products needed to sustain a skincare routine but I’m just incredibly lazy. In 2015 I plan on maintaining a skincare routine and, at the least, washing my face every night.

#4: Find a Job After Graduation

This is a pretty logical goal that needs to be accomplished, but my goal is to have a job lined up for after I graduate college in May 2015. I’ve been planning my post-graduation life since the semester has started and it’s imperative that I have a job right after I graduate. This is definitely something I’ll be working on and researching throughout the semester, and I will definitely blog later on about my experience in the post-grad job search.

#5: Blog More Consistently

I know, I know, my blog posts generally seem infrequent and inconsistent, but I’m committed to changing this. In 2015 I plan on uploading a blog post at least twice a week, preferably on every Monday and Thursday. I really want to use this blog to work on my writing skills as well as create discussions on things that interest me. Plus, establishing yourself as an online presence is never a bad thing ;). In 2015 I am committing myself to blog more consistently by posting at least twice a week.

So there you have it, my New Year’s Resolutions for 2015. I’m trying to keep it short and sweet; I wouldn’t want to try and over-commit myself to too many goals. I hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2015, and I look forward to blogging more and getting to know you all! What are some of your New Year’s Resolutions for 2015?
