September 2015 Favorites

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog. I cannot believe how fast last month went by and that it’s already time to talk about my favorite things from Septmeber! Check out my post on my September Favorites below!

Skincare

Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Concentrated Therapy

I’ve had a disastrous month in terms of skincare. The skin around my eyes and on my eyelids suddenly got incredibly dry and painful due to allergies and the changing weather. I grabbed this extra moisturizing lotion hoping and praying it would keep my eyes from flaking away, and it has almost completely cleared up my dry skin problem! I love this because a little goes a long way, and I’m able to put just a dab around my eyes and feel the skin come alive again. I apply this in the morning when I wake up and at night before bed, as well as during the day if I’m feeling like the dryness is starting to come back. This product has genuinely been a life saver!

Makeup

NYX Eyebrow Pencil  in Brown

I’ve been loving this product to fill in my eyebrows for this month! I’ve recently gotten into filling in my eyebrows, which are naturally fuller but are a bit sparse in sections. I love that this comes with a brush on the end of the pencil, which helps blend out my eyebrows when I use a heavy hand a bit too much. My only problem with this product is the color is slightly more reddish than brown, however since my hair color is redder at the bottom from my last hair dye it still matches somewhat well. I will definitely be repurchasing this product when it’s empty, just in a darker brown color.

Nailpolish

Essie’s Wicked

Confession time: I have the horrible, nasty habit of biting my nails. It’s plagued me from childhood and I just can’t seem to quit it. However, thanks to having two root canals on my front teeth, I’ve managed to stop biting my nails and keep my polish on longer than a few days. My favorite nail polish from this month has been Wicked, which is a gorgeous brownish red and just perfect for the fall weather and aesthetic. I love this nail polish because it just makes me feel professional and more like an adult, and just gets me in the mood for the fall season!

Candle

Honey Maple from Stop and Shop

I have fallen in love with the Stop and Shop $1 candles. This one in particular makes my room smell like a fall pastry, it has just been mouth-watering! Not only is it affordable, but it’s also pretty easy to get a hold of since my local Stop and Shop is down the street. This has clearly become my new favorite fall scent!

Miscellaneous

Podcast: Rob Has A Podcast

You guys know how I’m addicted to Big Brother, right? Well, I discovered RHAP at work when I was looking for a way to continue my addiction while still getting work done. RHAP has captivated my attention with hilarious Big Brother commentary, and has even convinced me to watch Survivor this season just so I can keep up with the podcasts. Check it out if you love reality TV and want a new podcast to listen to!

TV Show: Daredevil

I fell in love with this TV show, guys. Daredevil is a Netflix original series focusing on the Marvel superhero, Daredevil. It’s funny, action packed, and keeps you on the edge of your toes. It also isn’t just about superheroes saving the world, but instead one man trying to rid his city of corruption. Definitely give it a check out on Netflix if you’re interested!

Office Supply: Sharpie Pen Fine

I tried this pen on a whim after hearing such good things about it and it has not disappointed yet! I love the Sharpie pens because they are strong enough to stand out in my planner or on my notes, while also being incredibly fine tipped and easy to write with. If you are looking for a new writing tool, this is the one I’m recommending!
