Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today’s post is going to be my favorite products from February, I can’t believe that it’s already March! It was literally 80 degrees F today and it was insane, I hope this weather stays until summer! Check out what I’ve been loving this past month below!
I’ve had Benefit’s Sugarbomb Blush for a while now, but I really loved this blush in February! It’s a gorgeous glowy shade that looked really warm and adorable for when I was looking for a Valentine’s Day blush. I’ve never had that many thoughts on blush but after reusing this blush this month I’m very glad that I have this!
Speaking of Benefit, I’ve also been loving Benefit’s High Beam quite a bit this month. I decided to go for the more day look this month after fighting with my skin, and I’ve been reaching for this product quite a bit. I like how it blends well with whatever foundation I am wearing or it looks great on its own. I’ll definitely be reaching for this product as spring and summer get closer!
In an attempt to win the battle against my sometimes dry, sometimes oily skin I turned to the Olay Regenerist Luminous Brightening Cream Cleanser this month and I’ve really been enjoying it. I honestly can’t tell if my skin is oily or just over producing oil to combat how dry my face is, however when trying a more moisturizing cream cleanser my skin seems to be improving a bit. I will be continuing to use this product and will also be trying out new products in an attempt to wrangle down my skin.
I switched to the OGX Coconut Milk Shampoo and Conditioner this month after running out of my previous hair products and I’ve really been loving these hair products this month! Not only are they pretty nourishing and moisturizing, but they also smell delicious! This sent is great and really just getting me into the summer vibes! If you are looking for a new set of affordable hair care products, definitely check out the OGX brand, they are great and are found at many supermarkets/drug stores.
I’ve been through a mess of dental work since October of last year, and I’ve finally caved bought an electric toothbrush on the instruction from my dentist. I grabbed the Sonicare battery powered toothbrush and so far I really like it. The speed isn’t overpowering to the point that it’s going to hurt my gums, but it runs well and keeps my teeth looking and feeling squeaky clean!
I’ve been loving these Notes and Such Notepads from the Target Dollarspot. I use these at work to write notes pretty much every day, and I’m even using them at home or to quickly jot something down in my planner. The notepad is magnetic as well, which is great at my job since I can stick it straight on my desk drawers. I love the cute design of these pages, especially the adorable sprinkle pattern at the top of the page!
My favorite sticker book I used to decorate with throughout February was the Darice Love Letters Sticker Book, which I had picked up in Michaels for $1. I didn’t think I’d like it at first because I’m not the biggest fan of birds, but I loved the cute designs of the stickers and the mail themed letters fit perfectly in my planner pages! I’ll definitely continue using this book throughout the rest of the year for mail related stickers!
My first TV favorite for February was The Amazing Race 28! As a reality TV junkie no one should rely be surprised by this choice, but I really decided to start watching because its a social media/Youtube season and the wonderful Bernie and Ashley from Rooster Teeth are competing this season. Obviously I’m rooting for them, and I’m also rooting for Tyler and Korey. As someone who doesn’t have the money to travel, I’m pretty much living vicariously through this show too. The Amazing Race is on Fridays at 8PM EST on CBS.
My other TV favorite for February is the show Recovery Road. The show follows the story of a teenage girl on the road to sobriety and recovery from her alcoholism. What really got me interested in the show is the main stars played Grace and Matty from Skins generation 3, and Skins Gen 3 was honestly my favorite generation of all the Skins seasons. As someone who has had a close family member suffer from alcoholism I can really relate to some of the struggles depicted in the show, and I believe it is an important message to send to teenagers. Recovery Road airs at 9PM EST on Freeform (ABC Family).
My podcast favorite for the month of February was The British History Podcast. As a former history major and now post-grad, I’m trying to find ways to continue learning about topics that interest me outside of a school setting. This podcast goes in depth through British history, talking about it in a way that is both informative and entertaining. I love being able to learn new, interesting facts while out and about or even while doing work, at home or in the office.
Well that’s it for my favorites from the month of February 2016, let me know in the comments below what products or things you loved last month and I’ll see you next time!
