Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today’s post, in light of the holiday falling on this day, is a St. Patrick’s Day makeup tutorial. Wether you have any plans for the day or are just looking for a fun, festive makeup look for your everyday life, this is a relatively clean looking makeup look with festive eyeshadow. Check out my look below!
First off this is my blank slate, my lovely face makeup free. My skin is typically very dry with visible pores, though I am typically spot-free and clear skinned. I also have quite a bit of redness around my cheeks and nose, and my dark circles are pretty visible in everyday life.
So to start off, I began this look with my eyes. I first primed my eyelids with my concealer, which is Maybelline Fit Me in Fair. Then I used the Ulta Metals eyeshadow palette for the colors I put on my eyes. First, I put Lady, a flesh toned color all over the lid to set the primer. Then I placed Fortress, which is a sparkly dark green color in the crease of my eyelid and blended like crazy. I wanted to tone down the darkness of the color while still maintaining the greenness of it. For the lid shade I used Crown, which is an amazing sparkly gold shade. Lastly, I highlighted the brow bone using the white shade, Noble. These shades are super festive for the St. Patty’s Day festivities, while can still be toned down or slammed up depending on your plans!
To finish up my eye look, I lightly lined my eyes using the Wet & Wild Proline Felt Tip Eyeliner and put on a coat of my L’Oreal mascara. I didn’t want to glam this look up too much by doing too much eyeliner, since the eyeshadows I used were pretty stand out on its own. I do love this liner because its super easy to handle and is honestly like drawing on your liner with a marker, it’s that easy.
Next up was to put on my face. I recently bought the Neutrogena Hydrating Tint in Natural Ivory, which I am using for my foundation. I put that all around my face using the doe foot applicator that comes with the product, and I put my concealer on under my eyes. Then I blended out all the product with my Real Techniques Foundation Brush, which I have been loving to use for any foundation or concealer I apply daily.
Next up I set my foundation and concealer using the Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder in Porcelain. I don’t go too heavy on the powder since I’m pretty dry, but I want just enough that my liquid products are going to stay in place through the holiday festivities! I also put on some blush in a rose color, unfortunately I received the product from a friend and there is no brand name on the packaging, but I think any rose toned blush would compliment this look nicely. Lastly, I brushed and filled in my brows using the IT Cosmetics Universal Brow Powder Pencil.
Lastly, to complete the look I went for the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm – which is more of a nude toned liquid lipstick. I absolutely love these liquid lipsticks because they stay on all day and the color selection is out of this world. This nude toned lipstick is nice for a look that is featuring the eyes prominently, however still presents some color to your lips so you don’t look dead!
So there we have it, my completed St. Patrick’s Day inspired makeup tutorial! What are your plans for St. Patty’s Day? I’ll be home probably binging the premiere of the Iron Fist on Netflix, but let me know your fun festivities in the comments below!
