June 2017 Goals

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today’s post is going to be my goals for this month, June! I honestly cannot believe that it is already halfway through 2017, it feels like I just moved out of New York a month ago. This is the month I’m going to get my butt into gear, I swear! I’ve got a bunch of plans for the month that I’m pretty excited for, so let’s just get into it!

To start off, for literally months I’ve been dying to go visit the Boston Aquarium since we live like an hour and twenty minutes away from it, and this month I am going! After having to cancel our original plan to go during Memorial Day weekend, I am more pumped than ever to go see the fish this month and possibly sea turtles. Ever since watching Finding Dory during a weekend where I was sick, all I have wanted to do is go to the aquarium, and we’re going!

I’ve also found that I’m much more comfortable behind the wheel lately, and I think this is the month I truly get serious about getting my driving license. New Hampshire just doesn’t have the public transport that New York does, so getting my license is less of a formality and more of a requirement around these parts. I’ll be signing up for my lessons this month and putting myself on the fast track to getting my license!

I’m also hoping to read (and complete) three whole books this month, which can actually be a lot when you work full time and don’t have as much downtime as you did in your student days. I’ve been acquiring some interesting reads from Goodwill and I’m pumping to get back into my old favorite hobby.

This month marks the start of tanning season for me and I am determined to lose my vampire-esque skin tone. I work in a preschool, so I’m outside two times a day, and there is no reason for me to stay pale this summer!

This month also marks the first day of summer and I literally cannot wait! I love being by the poolside or at the beach, summer barbecues, and just feeling the warm sun on my skin. Here’s to my second favorite season!

Lastly, we are moving to a new apartment at the end of this month and I am stoked! While the apartment we’ve been in has been relatively good to us, we’re moving closer to my job and it will be a whole lot easier of a commute. Plus it has two pools! I’m just ready to be in a bigger city and away from downtown.

May 2017 Goals

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today I’m going to be sharing my monthly goals for May, considering it’s already May 1st! I cannot believe that it has been five months since I moved and this year began, time moves by so quickly these days! Check out my goals for this month below.

This month I am excited to celebrate Teacher Appreciation week/day because I work in a preschool as a Assistant Teacher. I love my job and its always nice to be appreciated for what I’m doing. 🙂

This month I want to finish two books since I’ve been pretty bad this year about reading. Since literature and books are something I actually love, I just need to find the time in my daily schedule to sit down and read a few chapters.

Last month my boyfriend and I got gym memberships and after going for all that time I’m averaging about 2 miles every trip on the treadmill. For May I’m looking to keep progressing in my running and hit 3 miles on average everyday.

This month my Mom and my Grandmother are coming to visit for a day and I’m super excited to show them around this new place I call home!

With this gorgeous spring weather in full bloom I’m really excited for the start of Farmer’s Markets which are held basically across the street from where I live! We’ve been trying to eat more healthy so it’ll be nice to start shopping there on the weekends.

Literally ever since we moved here I have been trying to go to the aquarium in Boston every weekend. I watched Finding Dory in a week where I was super sick on the couch and now I just want to see the fishes. Basically, I am going to that aquarium this month, mark my words! I will see the fish and the turtles!

With the end of the month comes Memorial Day, and since I sort of consider that the start of summer in my mind, I would love to have some sort of BBQ to celebrate the beginning of beautiful summer weather and lazy weekends at the pool and beach!

13 Thoughts About 13 Reasons Why

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today’s post is going to be 13 thoughts about the new Netflix TV show, 13 Reasons Why. I used to love this book back in high school, it really resonated with me as a lonely teenager who dabbled in depression and could relate to the troubles of the characters in the story. Once the show came out on Netflix I wasted no time in marathoning the series, sometimes with commentary by my boyfriend and others alone in my dark living room, completely drawn into the story. Bullet Journal Walkthrough 2017

March 2017 Goals

Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog! Today’s post is a bit late from when I usually post it, but I thought I’d share my March goals for this month. My goals are a mixture of serious things I’d like to accomplish, as well as fun seasonal things that only apply to this month! Check out my March 2017 goals below!

I’m always trying to find more time to read now that I’ve been out of school for a few years, and this month is no different. I’m looking to complete three full books this month, as I’m trying to read 30 books this year.

This month has the festive holiday of St Patrick’s Day, and I’m looking to celebrate this month! I want to have some type of plans for the night, even if my boyfriend and I just check out the local bar scene. I also want to wear more green pieces in my clothing this month to celebrate the holiday.

As the spring season draws closer, I’m looking to start pulling out my spring wardrobe, wearing more skirts, dresses, and warmer weather clothing. I’m also hoping to explore three new places in New Hampshire this month, since we did recently move here and I want to find more cool places to enjoy and spend time at!

My last three goals are all about bettering my life in the long run. Firstly, I want to start working out two times a week, nothing crazy just working on stretching and light workout. I also want to start writing in a daily gratitude journal to focus on positivity and combat the negative thoughts that occur with anxiety and depressions. Lastly, I want to start researching graduate schools in the area so I can start moving forward in my career path and bettering my future.
